Carbonic acid bath
One of the most pleasant spa treatments is the carbonic acid bath. Carbonic waters occur naturally, but in Hungary there are few carbonic springs. Fortunately, carbonic acid baths can be produced artificially and they have 100% of the same effect as natural carbonic acid baths.
A medical examination is required before using the carbonated bath treatment. The treatment is carried out in a special tub, into which carbon dioxide of natural origin is injected. The carbonic acid dilates blood vessels, improves cardiac balance and improves blood supply to tissues. It is mainly used to treat circulatory disorders, heart disease and vascular stenosis.
Moreover, the carbon dioxide released stimulates the respiratory centre, deepening and perfecting breathing. The water in the carbonic bath is 30-32°C.
One of the benefits of lukewarm water is that it can also be used as a bath treatment/therapy for people suffering from hypertension - since the 1880s-1890s.
